The Design Report outlines the comprehensive Design and Build proposal for the construction of a new residential college building for a teacher training institute for the teaching and research in Malay Language. The architectural foundation is based on the concept of "Geometri Tauhid," utilizing principles of adab (arrangement and hierarchy) to structure the space, inspired by contemporary Malay thinkers like Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. Sustainability is prioritized through passive design strategies, emphasizing high-efficiency cross-ventilation and managed natural lighting to control internal thermal comfort. Functionally, traditional corridors are transformed into wider, dynamic "social spaces" (Koridor Sosial) to encourage community interaction while carefully preserving residents' visual privacy. Construction employs a modular approach via the Industrialized Building System (IBS), utilizing reusable formwork for cast-in-place concrete frames and standardized components based on MS 1064. This methodology successfully achieved a significant IBS Score of 75/100.
